Scott Zeller
VP of Acute Psychiatry for Vituity

Scott Zeller, MD is Vice President of Acute Psychiatry for the multispecialty medical partnership Vituity. He is also Immediate Past Chair of the multidisciplinary National Coalition on Psychiatric Emergencies sponsored by the Emergency Medicine Foundation. Prior to joining Vituity in 2015, for twenty years he was Chief of Psychiatric Emergency Services of the Alameda Health System, of Oakland, CA; during this time Dr. Zeller developed the innovative approach to eliminate emergency department psychiatric patient boarding that became known as the “Alameda Model”.  Dr. Zeller is an Assistant Clinical Professor at both the University of California-Riverside and Touro University medical schools and is Past-President of the American Association for Emergency Psychiatry. He is the author of multiple textbooks, book chapters and numerous peer-reviewed articles, lectures internationally as a keynote speaker, and is known as the creator of the EmPATH Unit concept (Emergency Psychiatry Assessment, Treatment and Healing Unit) and as the co-inventor of On-Demand Emergency Telepsychiatry. He founded and directed Project BETA (Best Practices in the Evaluation and Treatment of Agitation), which has revolutionized the care approach to agitated individuals around the world. His combined works led to him being named the 2015 USA Doctor of the Year by the National Council for Behavioral Health in Washington, DC, and the 2019 Heerman Memorial Award by the California Hospital Association.

Lisa Kulawczyk-Pringle
Architect at Stantec

With 7 years in the architecture field, Lisa combines her two passions, problem-solving and compassionate design. She enjoys working with clients and designing for their needs, health, and well-being.

Lisa's healthcare experience started in 2017 after her husband, Bill’s cancer diagnosis.  As a caregiver and navigator of the health system, Lisa’s passion for improving lives through design extended to the health and outcomes of patients, families, and healthcare workers.  Since Bill’s recovery they have both volunteered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to support patients and their families, and Lisa has continued to pursue her career in Health and Wellness Architecture.

Lisa’s other work includes K-12 and Higher Ed design, as well as Community Design and Master Planning with Open Architecture Detroit and the Detroit Future City Initiative.  She spends her free time working on her old house in Detroit’s University District.

Swapna Sathyan
Principal, Director of Strategy and Change Consulting at Blue Cottage of CannonDesign

Nationally recognized for her ability to help businesses catalyze transformational change, Swapna leads Blue Cottage of CannonDesign’s Workplace Strategy and Change Consulting Practice. Relying on innovative data-driven and analytics, she helps organizations shape their people, process and place strategies to align with and empower their business goals. Her work reveals the criticality of an integrated approach to develop effective design outcomes that influence people and business performance.

An architect by training, Swapna has more than 20 years of experience partnering with C-Suite executives to provide consulting and program leadership related to business and workplace strategy, organizational design, strategic change, workforce transitions, culture and leadership alignment for companies across all industries.

Colleen O'Connor
Prevention Education Specialist, Project Oz NAMI Ending the Silence program

Colleen O’Connor, CPS, CADC, is an educator and mental health professional. She initiated and coordinates McLean County’s school-based mental health education and suicide prevention program, NAMI Ending the Silence, through Project Oz. In this role, she provides education to all students in public junior high schools and high schools throughout the county. She also serves as the Executive Director of her local chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, NAMI Mid Central IL. Prior to her work in mental health education, Colleen worked in addiction recovery counseling at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center. As a suicide attempt survivor who lives with mental illness, Colleen also shares her story of recovery to reduce stigma and inspire hope. Colleen has received a variety of awards for her work, including a Red Cross Saluting Our Heroes award, a YWCA Women of Distinction award, and the McLean County Public Health Award.

Patricia Kammer
Principal Design Researcher, Steelcase

Patricia is a Principle Design Researcher for Steelcase, Inc.   Over the past twenty-two years, she has led and participated in various research explorations into a wide array of topics that have significantly influenced the strategic directions of her organization.  Her role as design researcher was instrumental in identifying the opportunity areas for the launch of two of the fastest growing businesses -- in healthcare and education. Other strategic projects include a body of work that outlined the future direction for the company and work that has led to new products to market.  With more than 30 years of design experience, Patricia’s current passion is in human-centered design research and its translation into experiential prototypes and business strategy.  Past research projects include looking at the complexities of distributed collaboration, diversity and its impact on innovation, neuroscience and the implications to work, worker, and workplace.  In her current role, Patricia leads the foresight practice, and is responsible for identifying emerging trends impacting the world of work to drive strategic decision making and product development roadmaps.
