Overview:

The Illinois Green Alliance and IIDA Illinois Chapter are looking forward to setting sail on the Spirit of Chicago for the Annual Boat Cruise!

Grab your mask and join us on Thursday, August 12th, for our popular evening event! Cruising the waters of Lake Michigan offers the perfect backdrop for networking with your industry peers. Don't miss this opportunity to mix and mingle! 

Schedule:

5:00 PM Registration Opens
5:30 PM Boarding Begins
6:00 PM Boat Departs
8:00 PM Boat Returns Dockside for After Party on the Boat
9:00 PM Event Ends

Registration:

$100 per ticket limited to the first 300 attendees.

  • Attendees do not need to bring or show tickets at the Pier.

  • All attendees will have a name tag at the Pier.

  • Attendees with a name tag will be given a boarding pass prior to boarding the boat.

  • Security will be checking bags prior to boarding. No outside food or beverage will be allowed on the boat, which includes reusable water bottles.

Attire:
The weather forecast for the boat cruise has historically been warm. The attire is business casual, but be sure to dress for the heat, keeping in mind the breeze on the water and the air conditioning inside the boat.

Parking:
For parking and directions, please visit the Navy Pier website. Please note that parking will not be discounted or validated. That being said, don't forget to look at parking apps, such as Spot Hero and ParkWhiz, for discounted rates nearby! If you're being dropped off at the Pier, please ask to be let out at turnaround 1 (there will be big signs that say turnaround 1).

Important COVID Information:

Illinois Green and IIDA Illinois are excited to host this in person event! For the comfort and safety of our guests, this cruise will be at half capacity compared to previous years. 

All attendees are required by the Coast Guard to wear masks while on the boat. When eating or drinking you can remove your mask, but it must be worn when mingling or when moving around the vessel.

City Cruise's Commitment to Health and Safety: 

  • Pre-boarding:

    • Extensive crew training, increased hygiene regimen, disinfection, and sanitation throughout our facilities.

    • Crew is equipped with the tools they need to provide increased protection such as masks, acrylic hygiene screens, and gloves.

    • Crew clean throughout the day, focusing on high-contact areas throughout each location.

  • On board:

    • Onboard crew focus on sanitization between departures, cleaning high-contact areas using CDC-approved products specifically to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

    • Reduced vessel capacity and exterior open air space to allow for social distancing while on board.

    • Hand sanitizer stations will be readily available in all public areas.

  • Check-in / Boarding:

    • Daily health and pre-shift temperature checks for all crew members.

    • Hand sanitizer stations are available when recommended hand washing capability is limited or not available.
