Working Parents Panel - Part 1

working parents panel_Part 1.jpg

Summary: Work, late hours, crazy deadlines, networking events… the real estate and design industry can be challenging for working parents to find enough time in the day. As we look to return to the workplace, we have an opportunity to reflect and make changes in why we work, how we work, when and where.

This panel will explore the various social expectations that are placed on working mothers and fathers, discuss ways in which we can cope, and explore how we as a collective industry can support one another.

Objective: To bring awareness, empathy, and action toward building a more positive and supportive industry for working parents.

This is part one of a two-part series. The second part will discuss what the next generation should look for in a career in our industry before the thought of family life even crosses their mind, and how we can better prepare our employers for a discussion in the value of supporting working parents.
